Hurricane Adrian

Well if you haven't heard yet, just wanted to let you know we are going through a hurricane today. Nothing like the ones in Florida, but definitely bad for El Salvador and Honduras. You can track it today at: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_ep1+shtml/085318.shtml?3day you will have to refresh the page at the top of the website to see the path along the day.

It has been raining here for the last 24 hours and I feel so bad for the poor people around here. Myself and Mark Connell were up on our roof yesterday fixing leaks with new roofing supplies and tar, but they have nothing and I am a little worried about our friends up at Los Pinos and the surrounding communities we help. Please pray for them. We also have a group here of 29 college kids and family. Terry Reeves is leading that trip here. Joe and Nate helped them build two houses in the rain yesterday and boy was that an experience they will never forget. Our group is fine and is in no danger.

The boys' school is cancelled today and they will stay home with us. The internet says that we should be getting a lot of rain but not too much wind because of the mountains. If we continue to have internet, I will let you all know we are okay today, but the internet goes out a lot when it rains and I doubt we will have it much longer. So don't worry about us, we will be fine. Just pray for the rain to stop so all the poor homes will not wash away.

We love you all,

gena
